Vaccinations continue for persons belonging to risk groups due to illness

The coronavirus vaccinations of people aged 18–69 who are highly susceptible to severe COVID-19 due to an illness will be continued next Monday.

The coronavirus vaccinations of people aged 18–69 who are highly susceptible to severe COVID-19 due to an illness will be continued next Monday. Healthcare and social services personnel scheduled for vaccination will also continue to receive vaccinations.

The vaccinations of these groups have been suspended this week, because the National Institute for Health and Welfare instructed to suspend vaccinations with the AstraZeneca vaccine. According to the latest instruction by the National Institute for Health and Welfare, AstraZeneca vaccinations for persons aged 65 or over can be continued as of Monday. People under 65 will receive the Pfizer vaccine until further notice.

Persons whose vaccination appointment had to be cancelled this week will be called today or early next week and given a new vaccination appointment. There will be no changes regarding the appointments booked for next week, i.e. people can visit for vaccination according to the original schedule.
