The new customer and patient information system Apotti will be introduced in Helsinki's social and health care services in stages from 24 April onwards. At the same time, E-services will be transferred to the Maisa portal.

The first introduction will take place next Saturday at 04:00. It applies to a large part of Helsinki's social and health care services, such as health centres, clinics, dental clinics, psychiatric and substance abuse services, senior centres, hospitals, home care and some social services.

Apotti will be introduced in disability services on 29 May. Apotti will be introduced in November in social services for working-age people and families with children, as well as in child welfare services.

E-services services will be simplified in the future

E-services will be transferred to the Maisa system from 24 April onwards.

“Maisa will make E-services smoother and simpler for the customer”, says Leena Turpeinen, Director of Health and Substance Abuse Services.

You can log in to Maisa with your bank ID, electronic ID card or mobile certificate at www.maisa.fi(Link leads to external service). The Maisa app can be downloaded for free to your mobile phone or tablet in app stores.

Employees make a change

The introduction taking place next weekend will affect 12,100 employees in Helsinki's social and health services. The Apotti trainings started already last year.

“To make the transition to Apotti as smooth as possible, we have trained our staff for months to use it. Some of our employees act as support staff for their teams in the use of Apotti”, says Leena Turpeinen, Director of Health and Substance Abuse Services.

The introduction is supported by a total of 2,500 Apotti support personnel, from whom Helsinki social services and health care employees can ask for advice if problems arise.

“We want the employees to stand behind the change. Employees make the positive change brought by Apotti”, Turpeinen continues.

The aim of introducing the Apotti system is to improve customer and patient safety, as well as the quality of care and services.

For customers, the introduction of Apotti will be seen over the coming weeks in the temporary slowdown in services. The benefits of the new system will begin to show once the system is up and running.

“Urgent cases will be treated as normal. We apologize for any temporary inconvenience that may be caused to our customers”, says Turpeinen.
