Swelling of the feet is a common problem in summer

Swelling of the feet is clearly more common in summer. The swelling can be asymptomatic, cause discomfort or, at worst, lead to skin damage and wounds. Fortunately, however, you can reduce swelling by yourself.

To avoid swelling of the feet:

  • Wear tight compression socks
  • Move about enough
  • Keep your feet elevated
  • Do not sit for a long time with your feet down
  • Water is the best drink when you feel thirsty

If the swelling causes skin damage, you have pain or swelling in other body parts than just the lower limbs, and the swelling is accompanied by shortness of breath, you can get help from health care.
