Suggesting ideas in the autumn for the fourth OmaStadi round

The next stage for suggesting ideas for OmaStadi will be held next autumn.

“This time, we would especially like to see proposals that would increase events and activities across the city,” says OmaStadi’s Development Manager Kirsi Verkka

Support for making suggestions and voting for them will again be available on the fourth OmaStadi round in many of the City’s service points, such as the City libraries and the service centres for seniors.

Renewals made through OmaStadi suit the cityscape

“We have completed several projects from previous OmaStadi rounds, and these can be seen in our urban landscape, too. Everyone should come and suggest their thoughts and ideas for our common good,” says Mayor Juhana Vartiainen

The fourth round of OmaStadi starting in September will begin with suggesting ideas 22 September–5 October 2025. This proposal stage is followed by the next phase, during which the City will assess the feasibility of the proposals and compile cost estimates. The voting will take place 11 March–29 March 2026, after which the most popular suggestions are co-created further with the city residents to ensure their feasibility. The implementation stage of the proposals will begin in August 2026.

OmaStadi is the City of Helsinki’s way of implementing participatory budgeting together with its residents. On this fourth OmaStadi round beginning next September, Helsinki will use €10 million to implement the residents’ proposals.
