Autumn 2025 influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations

  • People aged 65 and over can book an appointment for influenza and COVID-19 vaccination in Maisa (maisa.fi and the Maisa app) or by phone at +358 9 310 46300 on weekdays from 8.00–16.00 (no call-back service).
  • Unfortunately, the telephone booking service is currently congested. We recommend calling again later, for example a few days from now.
  • For those under 65, appointment booking opens on 8 October in both Maisa and by phone.

We are here to provide comprehensive support regarding homelessness. Whether you need assistance in finding emergency housing or a long-term housing solution, our team is ready to help. In addition, we offer a range of health services and guidance specifically designed for Helsinki residents who do not have a permanent home. Our aim is to ensure that you receive the necessary support and resources to address your housing needs and promote your overall well-being.

Health and social services for the unhoused
We arrange health and social services for the unhoused and provide guidance on how to access services. We have also compiled useful links to our website that make it easy to access our services and those of our partners.
Accommodation and housing services for the unhoused
We offer emergency housing, temporary housing and supported housing.
Meal and hygiene services
At the Hietaniemenkatu Service Centre, you have access to meal and hygiene services free of charge or for a small fee. Additionally, for your convenience, we have compiled a list of other locations where you can find places to eat and wash.

Housing Support provides services for unhoused individuals in Helsinki. We offer advice and guidance in managing your affairs.
Hietaniemenkatu Service Centre services
We provide services for individuals without housing, including meal and hygiene services, health and social services, as well as emergency housing.

The Blue Ribbon Foundation has created a comprehensive illustrated guide called "Opas kadun kansalle" (A Guide for the Street Community).
Illusia day centres (Blue Ribbon Foundation)
The Blue Ribbon Foundation’s low-threshold, communal Illusia day centre activities are intended for adults struggling with homelessness or at risk of homelessness, as well as those who are actively dealing with substance abuse.
No Fixed Abode, Vva ry
No Fixed Abode, Vva ry provides support and advice as well as organises activities for unhoused individuals in Helsinki.
Night Centre Kalkkers
In Kalkkers, you will find a safe space to rest, receive essential first aid and access snacks. You can also discuss your situation and receive guidance in accessing appropriate services. Kalkkers is open for six months during the winter.

As social instructors and nurses engaged in street-based outreach work, we actively operate on the streets of Helsinki, as well as in shopping centres, parks and other public spaces. Our role is to offer valuable advice, guidance and facilitate access to necessary services.  

We are here to support you in accessing the services and benefits that are essential to your well-being. We understand the importance of privacy, and you can feel comfortable talking with us anonymously.

Substance abuse services
If you have concerns about your own or a loved one's substance use, you can directly reach out to the services without needing a referral. There are several options available to access substance abuse rehabilitation and support.
Mental health services
We provide accessible mental health services at your local health station or at the Mental Health Service Unit Mieppi. If you find that your mental health condition persists or worsens, we can arrange a referral to the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic.

Disagreements and conflicts are natural occurrences within relationships and families. However, it is important to draw a clear line when arguments involve violence or the threat of violence.
