Important notice for people with diabetes who use FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors

The device manufacturer Abbott has identified that some FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors may give incorrect low glucose readings. These sensors have been distributed to people living with diabetes.

The walk-in service and telephone service of the Special Services for Immigrants and community social work will be closed on 4 December 2025 from 8.15–13.00 due to staff training.

If you need guidance or advice, you can contact social counselling.

If you visit the Kalasatama service point, you may receive assistance based on an urgent needs assessment from the Kalasatama Service Point for Adult Social Work and Social Work for Young People.

As an undocumented individual, you are entitled to necessary health care, just like residents of Helsinki.
Toivolanmäki Family Community Home
This community home offers accommodation for unaccompanied minors who have a residence permit and a municipal placement in Helsinki.
Initial health check-up for immigrants
Our goal is to assess your health, identify any concerns early, and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
Community social work
In community social work, we do resident and expert work, where we support the actors in your residential area and the communities' own resources.

How to submit a notification of concern? 

Are you worried about someone close to you? Do you suspect someone you’ve encountered may be a victim of human trafficking? You can submit a notification of concern if you are worried about someone’s well-being, health, or safety. We will assess the situation and provide them with support and services.
