Admission criteria

Primarily, the students we admit to the Nuorten suunta group are young people of a compulsory education age living in Helsinki. At the earliest, you can start basic education for adults in the autumn term of the year you turn 17 years old.

If you have studied several individualised subjects, basic education for adults is probably not a suitable place of further studies for you. In basic education for adults, subjects cannot be individualised, and your previous studies in individualised comprehensive school subjects cannot be recognised.
