Emergency social services provide assistance to people in urgent need of care, protection and help. Services are available in the evenings and on weekends. Social services may be required urgently for matters related to how a person with a disability is coping at home.

Crisis emergency services provide crisis assistance to Helsinki residents and people staying in Helsinki. Assistance is provided in sudden and serious crisis situations, such as in the event of a serious injury or illness, violence, or the sudden death of a loved one.
