A healthcare professional will assess your treatment needs with you when you contact the health station. Based on the assessment of your health care needs, you will receive an appointment if your situation requires it. Your appointment might be with a specialist, or, in some cases, it can be a remote appointment.
Health stations operate as multidisciplinary teams, where nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other professionals work together to refer clients to the most appropriate professional based on their assessment of the client’s treatment needs.
Making an appointment
When you contact the health station, a healthcare professional will assess your situation and refer you to the right professional, if necessary.
There are several ways to contact the health station. Choose the way that suits your situation. It is important that you only contact the health station through one channel, so that the channels do not become congested and the professionals can serve you faster.
How to contact the health station
You can book an appointment through Maisa for an examination of any skin changes, stitch removal, medical injections and vaccinations. There are a limited number of appointment times available through Maisa.
- Log in to Maisa(Link leads to external service).
- Select ‘Menu’ from the home page.
- On the page that opens, select ‘Book appointment’.
- Then select the service and make an appointment.
Rescheduling an appointment
You can use Maisa to reschedule some appointments.
You can see all your future and past appointments in Maisa in the ‘Events’ section. If it is possible to reschedule your appointment using Maisa, you will see the option ‘Reschedule appointment’ in the appointment details under the ‘Details’ button.

Cancelling an appointment
Please cancel your appointment no later than 16:00 on the previous working day. Otherwise, you will be charged a fee for an uncancelled visit, which is €56.70 in 2024.
You can use Maisa to cancel some appointments.
You can see all your future and past appointments in Maisa in the ‘Events’ section. If it is possible to reschedule your appointment using Maisa, you will see the option ‘Cancel appointment’ in the appointment details under the ‘Details’ button.
Please note that some bookings have a time limit for cancellation (for example, no later than two days before the scheduled appointment).
