The purpose of occupational health services is to support your work ability throughout your career. The objective is for your work to not endanger your health. Occupational health services include services such as occupational health check-ups to monitor your well-being. In addition to these statutory occupational health services, the City of Helsinki offers medical care to its personnel.
Availability of occupational health services
Preventive occupational health services are available to all employees employed by the City of Helsinki. Medical care services are available to employees who work full-time for the City of Helsinki and who have not been absent from work without pay for longer than 30 days.

Mehiläinen serves as the City of Helsinki’s partner for occupational health services
Mehiläinen provides occupational health services through multiprofessional teams at designated occupational health service points.
These multiprofessional teams comprise occupational health nurses, doctors and psychologists as well as occupational physiotherapists and work ability coaches. Moreover, all Mehiläinen service points are available to employees of the City of Helsinki in the event that they require medical attention.
