Our services for child welfare clients
Enhanced family work is intensive support for the whole family, with an emphasis on cooperation with the family. This may be required, for example, in a family crisis situation.
We carry out social work in open care as well as during foster care and aftercare. Children and young people in child welfare have their own social worker who supervises the best interests of the child.
The purpose of enhanced family work for young people is to help young people with behavioural symptoms aged 10–17 and their families. The need for the service arises from the challenges of the young person in the family.
Family work to support school attendance is intended for pupils in grades 7–9 who have a high level of truancy or who have completely stopped going to school.
24-hour family rehabilitation is intended for family customers of child welfare who need 24-hour guidance and support.
The goal of open family rehabilitation is to strengthen family relationships, parenthood and functional everyday life. The best interests of the child serve as the basis.
Family counselling supports the participation of loved ones in the life of a child or young person who is a customer of family social work or child welfare.
In Toivo services, we guide and support young people over 12 years of age in growth, rehabilitation and well-being. For example, their background may include criminal behaviour or substance abuse.
Multidimensional Family Therapy is intended for symptomatic young people aged 11-17 years and their families in crisis situations.
A child or young person may be placed in foster care for a short time in a foster family, foster facility or with a close person.
