What is life like at Toivolanmäki Family Community Home?

You will live in a group of about ten young people. You will have your own room and a designated instructor.

Our instructors will assist you with daily tasks and in dealing with authorities. A personal study plan will be created for you, and our instructors will support you in your studies. Our goal is to help you adapt to life in Finland and prepare you for independent living.

You will receive support services for the transition to adulthood after turning 18

You will live at the family community home until you turn 18. After that, you will move into your own home but can still use our services.

You can receive support services for the transition to adulthood until you turn 23 or obtain Finnish citizenship.

The aim is for you to participate in society, manage your own affairs, and live independently.

We also offer social rehabilitation services for young people and families in Helsinki who have received international protection.

  • The customer service point has two floors.
  • The facility has thresholds over 2 cm high.
  • The indoor walkways have 3 consecutive steps with handrails on one side.
  • The doors in the facility stand out clearly. The glass doors have contrast markings.
