Hampurinkuja Housing Group is located in a marine environment in Jätkäsaari, demarcated by a large park area. The shopping centre and metro station of Ruoholahti are located roughly one kilometre away. Ruoholahti Health Station can be easily accessed with public transport.
Our housing group has 20 intensive service housing apartments, and there are seven supported housing apartments on Välimerenkatu.
The Hampurinkuja apartments are located on five floors in a Heka rental apartment building with a lift, and their size is 34-36 square metres.
All of our apartments are fully accessible. The apartments have a kitchen area, a bathroom and a large glazed balcony.
Hampurinkuja Housing Group is suitable for you if you are able to take care of everyday activities somewhat independently but need regular help and support in everyday life.
Our staff are present around the clock.
Our staff will also take care of your basic health care appointments. We can also escort and assist you with other errands.
By contrast, in the supported living apartments on Välimerenkatu, you will live independently in your own apartment but can receive help when needed from a worker of the housing group.

What is living with us like?
In the Hampurinkuja housing group and transitional apartments, you can live the kind of life you want. You can decorate your apartment as you see fit. If you want to, you can cook your own food in your apartment or purchase food services from the housing group.
Our instructors can assist and instruct you in the kitchen.
You can have your own washing machine in your bathroom, or you can use the shared washing machine of the building.
There is a shared lounging and dining space for residents on the entrance floor. Additionally, there are sauna and laundry facilities on the sixth floor.
We heat the sauna on Sundays. The sauna is fully accessible as well. The sauna facilities also have a balcony terrace on the sixth floor, providing a nice view over the sea, especially in summer.
What is everyday life like with us?
On weekdays, some of our residents take part in work or day activities. In the evening, we get together to watch TV in the downstairs lounge area. You are welcome to join us there. We also have a piano, which our instructors sometimes play for our residents.
When possible, we also provide our residents with instructed arts and crafts and baking sessions and hold music panels together. We are only a short walking distance away from the seashore, and the courtyard of the house is next to a large park area. There are plenty of children in the residential area, as there are a daycare centre and a school near by.
In summer, we can have barbecue parties in our own yard. You can take part in leisure time activities as you see fit. Almost all of our residents have a personal assistant, with whom they often go outside the building to attend events or have coffee at a shopping centre, for example.
Staff
Our staff consists of social services specialists, registered nurses, practical nurses and care assistants. We have 4–6 nurses working the morning shit, four nurses working the evening shift and one nurse working the night shift.
Our staff are present around the clock.
