Fallkulla Housing Group provides round-the-clock housing for twenty Helsinki residents with disabilities.

Fallkulla Housing Group is located near Tapanila railway station in the Fallkulla wedge, where we provide round-the-clock housing for twenty adults with disabilities.

The housing group is suitable for you if you need long-term, regular help and support in your daily activities.

Our apartments are studio apartments, and all of them are suitable for wheelchair users.

Our staff are present around the clock.

What is living in Fallkulla Housing Group like?  

Our apartments are studio apartments located in an ordinary apartment building completed in 2023. 
Every apartment has a bathroom and a glazed balcony. In addition to your apartment, you will also have access to shared facilities, such as a dining and lounging area, the sauna, the laundry room and a club room.

Every apartment is suitable for wheelchair users.

The local grocery store is located a few hundred metres away from the unit. There are good transport connections to the district of Malmi, which features a wide range of services, such as a shopping centre, a pharmacy and a health station.  

What is everyday life like with us? 

Some of our residents attend work and day activities, while others are on pension. 
In their leisure time, our residents take part in various hobby activities. We will plan leisure time activities for you individually, based on your resources and interests.

Our staff will provide you with help and support for your daily activities. Our aim will be to provide you with long-term and regular support. 

Staff 

Our workers are social services specialists and practical nurses by education. Our job is to make sure that you can live the kind of life you want in your own home, as safely and independently as possible.  

Members of our staff are present around the clock.

The route to the main entrance

  • The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
  • The route to the entrance is smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated.

The main entrance

  • The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
  • The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door requires the use of a door phone, opening automatically.

In the facility

  • The customer service point has 6 floors.
  • For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers. The button for the exit floor stands out from the other buttons. (The minimum dimensions for an accessible lift are width 1.1 m and depth 1.4 m.)
  • The doors in the facility stand out clearly. The glass doors have contrast markings.
  • The facility has an accessible toilet on the entrance floor.
