Examinations and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases

Sexually transmitted diseases are examined and treated at health stations and the Genital Diseases Outpatient Clinic of the HUS Skin and Allergy Hospital.

If you suspect that you have contracted an STD, the quickest way to contact us is to use the Omaolo symptom checker (www.omaolo.fi). If necessary, you will be issued a laboratory referral for STD tests. If you are unable to carry out a symptom assessment, you can contact your health station by phone on weekdays from 8.00 to 16.00. You can find the contact information of health stations at hel.fi/healthstations.

If you are exhibiting symptoms of an STD, you can book an appointment at the Genital Diseases Outpatient Clinic of the HUS Skin and Allergy Hospital.

Every health station has its own telephone number, which you can find on the health station’s website.

Telephone service hours: 

  • Mon–Thu 8.00–16.00
  • Fri and the day before national holidays 8.00–15.00 

If the lines are busy, you can submit a callback request. We will aim to call you back within the same day between 8.00 and 16.00. If we are unable to reach you the first time, we will try to call you a second time. We may also call you back during the weekend between 8.00 and 16.00. 

The Genital Diseases Outpatient Clinic examines and treats STDs and skin diseases in the genital region. The clinic operates by appointment only.
