Work Ability Support Services are intended for unemployed Helsinki residents aged 18-63 and for recipients of basic social assistance whose illness, defect or disability may hinder progress towards employment or education. Once we have received a referral, we will assess your work ability and functional capacity. You will be supported by social workers, work ability coordinators and public health nurses.
The service is free of charge.
To access Work Ability Support Services, you need either a referral or a professional assessment. The professional may be a social worker or social instructor at a Helsinki Health and Wellbeing Centre, whom you can contact, for example, by submitting an electronic contact request in the social welfare section of Maisa.
