Service apartments and group homes are located in our senior centres and service homes, as well as in private service homes. Alternatively, we can offer you a service voucher, which you can use to acquire 24-hour service housing yourself.
In service housing, you live in a one- or two-bed apartment that you can furnish with your own belongings. There is a toilet and a bathroom in the apartment. The group homes also have communal dining and living areas, and some have their own sauna.
We want to provide you with a good quality of life, safety and independence. Your day-to-day care is carried out by our nursing staff. Your well-being is also ensured by professionals like care assistants, a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, a social counsellor and o
thes. 24-hour service accommodation covers the care you need, activities to support your functional abilities, meals, clothing, washing and cleaning, and services to promote inclusion and social interaction.
You pay rent for your home and a monthly fee based on your net income, which includes the services you receive in your 24-hour service care and housing.
You can live in a senior centre or a service home for the rest of your life.
Institutional care
We provide group housing also as part of institutional care at the senior centres of Kivelä, Koskela and Kustaankartano. Our institutional care units may also include rooms for multiple persons, and have more items of basic furniture and equipment than service housing units.
In addition to medical and health care, long-term institutional care includes, for example, meals, medicines, care supplies and services that promote social well-being, such as recreational trips.
We are gradually moving away from long-term institutional care towards 24-hour care in group homes.
