Lauttasaari beach

Lauttasaari beach is a sandy beach near Lauttasaari metro station.

The soft sands of Lauttasaari beach can be found on the southern side of Lauttasaari, only about a 10-minute walk from the Lauttasaari metro station.

You can check the water quality, temperature and blue-green algae situation of the beach via the ulkoliikunta.fi map service during the summer season. Lifeguards supervise the beach during the beach season.

The beach has dressing rooms, showers and toilet facilities, as well as basketball and mini basketball courts, a beach volleyball court, outdoor exercise area and gym, and a café.

How to get there: There is no car park near the beach, but cars can be parked along the streets. You can also easily reach the beach by public transport.

Lifeguard on duty

Services: dressing rooms, showers, toilet facilities, play area, beach volley court, café, outdoor gym, local exercise area and basketball and mini basketball courts. The toilet facilities can be found in the café and will be open during the café service hours. The dressing rooms are open during the lifeguards' working hours, but are closed about half an hour before their working time ends.

The route to the outdoor sports area

  • There are no accessible parking spaces near the beach. The nearest parking area is within 50 metres.
  • The pick-up and drop-off area is located under 50 m from the beach.
  • A rough fine crushed rock or sand route leads to the beach. The route is illuminated.

Outdoor sports area

  • There are many entrances to the beach.
  • The beach has an information board, with a rough walkway leading to it. The information board can also be looked at up close. The board has a map of the area.
  • The beach is guarded by a beach guard.
  • There is an outdoor shower on the beach that is located on the sand. The shower has a treshold over 2 cm high..
  • There is no accessible toilet on the beach, but there is a standard toilet in the maintenance building.

  • There are dressing rooms with benches on the beach.
