The shaded Iso Kallahti Beach is a sandy beach in East Helsinki, within a 20-minute walking distance from Rastila and Vuosaari metro stations.
You can check the water quality, temperature and blue-green algae situation of the beach via the ulkoliikunta.fi map service during the summer. Lifeguards supervise the beach during the beach season.
The beach has a dressing room and shower and toilet facilities, but also a volleyball court and a playground. Restaurant Maininki is also nearby.
How to get there: The beach does not have its own parking area. However, you can access the beach by public transport or a city bike.

The route to the outdoor sports area
- There are no accessible parking spaces near the beach. The nearest parking area is located over 100 m from the place.
- The pick-up and drop-off area is located over 100 m from the beach.
- A rough, and guided fine crushed rock or sand route leads to the beach.
Outdoor sports area
- There are three entrances to the beach.
- The beach has an information board, with a rough walkway leading to it. The information board can also be looked at up close. The board has a map of the area.
- The beach is guarded by a beach guard.
- There is an outdoor shower on the beach that is located on the sand. The shower has a treshold over 2 cm high..
- There is a toilet marked as accessible in the beach café. The café's entrance is clearly visible at a distance. The passage to the café is hard and wide but rough.
- The café entrance has at least 4 steps with handrails on one side.
- The café entrance has a ramp under 6 m long, with handrails on one side.
- There is not enough room for a wheelchair in front of the café door. The café door opens easily manually and it has a high treshold.
- The requirements for accessibility are not met, as the toilet door cannot be easily opened and closed and the toilet does not have sufficient room for a wheelchair.
Dressing room, shower room and sauna
- There are men's/women's dressing rooms on the beach. The dressing room entrance stands out clearly. The passage to the dressing room is hard and wide but rough.
- The dressing room entrance has 3 consecutive steps with handrails on both sides.
- There is not enough room for a wheelchair in front of the dressing room door. The dressing room door opens easily manually. The doorway has a high threshold.
- The dressing room features a dressing bench and sufficient room for a wheelchair and assistant. Good illumination and clear contrasts facilitate spatial perception. There are no lockers in the dressing room.
- A toilet is connected to the dressing room.
