Mustikkamaa beach

The soft and sandy Mustikkamaa beach is on Mustikkamaa island. The beach is about half an hour walk from Kalasatama and Kulosaari metro stations.

Mustikkamaa beach's soft sands can be found next to the Mustikkamaa outdoor recreation area. You can access Mustikkamaa by bridge from both Kalasatama and Kulosaari, and the trip will take about half an hour on foot.

You can check the water quality, temperature and blue-green algae situation of the beach via the ulkoliikunta.fi map service during the summer season. Lifeguards supervise the beach during the beach season.

The beach has a changing shelter, shower, toilet and a container kiosk. The other services of Mustikkamaa recreational outdoor area can also be found near the beach.

How to get there: The beach has a car park nearby, on the Sports Park's side. The car park's address is Mustikkamaa 10, 00570. This car park is not accessible for wheelchair users. You can also reach the beach by public transport and on foot.

Lifeguard on duty

Services: dressing rooms, shower, toilet facilities, a container kiosk, and exercising equipment and an outdoor gym. The dressing rooms are open during the lifeguards' working hours, but are closed about half an hour before their working time ends.

The route to the outdoor sports area

  • The 4 accessible parking spaces are located in the parking area over 200 m from the beach. The width of the parking space is at least 3.6 m.
  • The pick-up and drop-off area is located over 200 m from the beach.
  • A smooth and sufficiently wide fine crushed rock or sand route leads to the beach.
  • There is a steep slope on the passage.
  • The passage has at least 4 steps.

Outdoor sports area

  • There are three entrances to the beach.
  • The beach has an information board on the sand. The information board can also be looked at up close. The board has a map of the area.
  • The beach is guarded by a beach guard.
  • There is an outdoor shower on the beach, with a smooth and sufficiently wide walkway leading to it. The shower has a treshold over 2 cm high. The shower is spacious.
  • There is a toilet marked as accessible on the beach, with a sign that is discernible at a distance. The passage to the toilet is smooth and sufficiently wide. The requirements for accessibility are not met, as the door cannot be easily opened and closed.
  • The toilet entrance has 2 consecutive steps.
