We organise work activities for Helsinki residents who have been unemployed for a long time, so that they can develop their working life skills and vocational skills. In addition to the rehabilitee services, the workshops offer work activities for people with disabilities, work try-outs and pay-subsidy services.
The aim of our operations is to support your working life skills, life management skills and vocational skills as well as to improve your chances of finding employment in the open labour market.
We have three work units: Uusix Kyläsaari, Kyläsaari Digital and Remote Services for Work Activities and Uusix Suvilahti. Each unit has approximately 20 departments where you can learn new skills.
You can participate in the work activities without previous work experience, because everyone works according to their own skill set. We have about 400-500 people working in rehabilitative work activities and about 100 staff members.
You can get a skills certificate once you have learnt new skills at our workshops. This can be useful, for example, when applying for a study place or job.
We also organise various training sessions, events and excursions where you can explore new things and places.
