Our hospital has, for example, a psychiatric first aid ward as well as wards for mood disorders and for psychosis treatment and rehabilitation. We offer both round-the-clock and outpatient care.

The hospital employs psychiatric specialists, doctors specialising in psychiatry, nurses, psychiatric nurses and practical nurses, as well as psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists.

We offer diverse treatment and rehabilitation options starting from the acute phase of the illness. When necessary, treatment will continue as individually tailored psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation.

Our patients come with a doctor's referral or, in urgent cases, from the emergency services of Malmi and Haartman hospitals.

Hospital care is subject to a daily hospital charge.

The Aurora Hospital area hosts psychiatric outpatient care units of the City of Helsinki, such as the Centre for Bipolar Disorder Research and Care, psychiatric day wards and the Group Therapy Centre.

Aurora Hospital also houses HUS facilities.
