We support children's motor coordination, group interaction skills, self-regulation and executive function skills by means of physical activity. We organise motor coordination support groups at daycare centres where there are children who need support.
We will organise a group when an early childhood education or family centre employee notices that a group is needed. One group can include 4 to 6 children.
A physiotherapist will plan the goals and lead the first meeting of the group. After the first meeting, daycare staff will take over and organise the group activities on a weekly basis, a total of ten times. At the end, the physiotherapist will assess the development of the children in the group and in everyday situations together with the early childhood education employees.
