More in one visit with the new service model

The Oral and Dental Centre is trying out a new ‘Kerralla enemmän kuntoon’ (Keku) service model with the aim to treat your oral health on a quick schedule and with as few visits as possible.

In the course of the multidisciplinary examination and treatment visit, we will examine you, prepare a treatment plan and start the treatment. We will do as much as we can – and you feel up to – on a single treatment visit. The maximum treatment duration is 2 hours. If the treatment requires so, the visit can be extended a maximum of 2 hours at a time.

  • The appointment time starting at 8:00 is exact. Be sure to register at Office 1A in good time.
  • Subsequent appointments start flexibly within one hour of the indicated treatment appointment time. For example, if you have an appointment at 9:00, the appointment can start between 9:00–10:00.
  • We will notify you by text message on the day of treatment, 30 minutes before the start of the appointment. For example, you may get a text message at 8:45 with the following information: “Your treatment appointment starts in 30 minutes time at 9:15. Please register at Office 1A in good time.”

If you live far away, you can come and wait near the Oral and Dental Centre. Töölö Library, for example, is less than 30 minutes’ walk from us. In the vicinity of Töölö Library and on the Mannerheimintie road, there are also small cafés and restaurants within a half an hour walk. The recreational paths of Central Park are also near the Oral and Dental Centre.

Make sure to keep your contact information up-to-date. You can easily check and update your contact information in the Maisa portal(Link leads to external service), which is also accessible on smartphones: just download the Maisa mobile application from the app store.

We also recommend giving consent to data disclosure in the section “Lupa tietojen luovuttamiseen yhteisrekisterin ulkopuolelle” (“Consent to disclosure of data outside the Common Register”). This way, important information concerning your treatment is available to healthcare professionals regardless of the locality or care organisation. This is also possible to do in Maisa.

A new treatment model is not always the best solution

If you find that the new treatment model is not for you, we can book you another appointment.
If it becomes apparent that other services are needed for your oral health care during the treatment visit, we will arrange further treatment for you. Further treatment can also be provided with a service voucher.
