Short-term Unit Visiitti

Located in Sofianlehto, Short-term Unit Visiitti provides short-time care periods of varying durations for children with disabilities in Helsinki.

At Visiitti, we provide short-term care periods for children and young people under the age of 18 living with disabilities. Our short-term unit has ten care places and one crisis care place.

The objective of the short-term care period is for your primary form of housing to continue. We provide care and support for the duration of your loved ones' rest or holiday, and in unexpected crisis situations. During your temporary care period, you will normally attend your own activities, such as school or daycare.

Due to children's and young people's schooling and daycare centre activities, our operations focus on evenings and weekends.

Our staff are present around the clock.

As a Helsinki resident, you can apply to become a client of Visiitti if you are a client of disability services and you have an informal caregiver. Please contact your designated disability service social worker. The social worker will propose a client relationship for you via the care coordinator.

When you are about to start your client relationship with us, we will schedule a familiarisation visit with your guardian.
